Chef/co-owners John Clark and Gayle Pirie along with co-owner Bruce McDonald have created one of San Francisco's ultimate destinations for fine dining, captivating atmosphere, great music, modern art, and, of course, foreign film. The California/Mediterranean menu changes daily featuring whatever happens to be available at the market and always includes a complete raw bar with over 15 types of oysters. Weekend brunch in the outdoor courtyard is ideal for taking time to enjoy a variety of egg dishes as well as champagne or a Bloody Mary. The recently opened Modernism West art gallery showcases large modern art installations in collaboration with Martin Muller, owner of Modernism. Laszlo, Foreign Cinema's multi-level street front bar, plays host to DJ's nightly including Kenni Cole, producer of Foreign Cinema's own house CD (available online). Foreign and independent films are shown nightly. Join us for a sensual celebration fireside or al fresco in our outdoor heated courtyard. Dinner is served nightly from 6pm and weekend brunch from 11am.
