Established in 1998, the Geras-Tousignant Gallery embraces a definition of art that ranges from classic and traditional to contemporary...that includes painting, photography and sculpture, but also fine glass, handwoven rugs, and 18th, 19th and 20th century antiques. A broad definition to be sure, but the common thread running through everything the Gallery exhibits is clarity of vision and integrity of form. Among the cutting-edge artists represented exclusively by the Geras-Tousignant Gallery are photographers Victor Arimondi and James Scott Geras, painter Matthew Frederick, and painter and glass artist Daniel Tousignant. A monthly exhibit puts new talent in the spotlight. The Gallery also offers art consultation services for private and corporate clientele, as well as commissioned works. Geras-Tousignant is located in historic Jackson Square at the heart of the old Barbary Coast territory, so visitors can drink in the art and then stroll amid the lovely old brick buildings to North Beach.
