Named for the official paint color of the Golden Gate Bridge, International Orange is built on a quintessentially San Franciscan concept, combining a luxe day spa with a yoga studio and bodywork practice to soothe, revitalize and strengthen you, inside and out. The three founders of IO, Amy Darland, Melissa Ferst and Kary Chendo each have their own specialty (massage, yoga and esthetics, respectively). They invest IO with a unique perspective, encouraging clients to adopt a "complete wellness lifestyle" that includes exercise as well as aesthetics, purification as well as pampering. IO's yoga studio offers classes seven days a week, including lunchtime sessions on week days. The spa menu includes Swedish, Thai, hot stone and Zen shiatsu massage, acupuncture, facial and body treatments, tinting and waxing. Treatments include yummy, all-natural products from Arcona Skincare, In Fiore, Skin-Ceuticals, Comme des Garcon and IO proprietary products from Old Monticello Organic Farms.
